WE HAVE SOME AWESOME NEWS TO SHARE!!!!
Effective immediately the CARA recycling center is again accepting miscellaneous plastics, #3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. However, until we can find a source, we are unable to accept miscellaneous bags and sacks (softener salt, dog food, etc.) at this time.
CARA also accepts PETE #1, HDPE #2 natural, HDPE #2 color, shopping bags #2 and #4 and plastic caps and rings. For a complete list of materials accepted, you can pick up a brochure at the recycling center, Charlotte city hall, the township offices in Eaton, Carmel, and Benton Townships, or online at
