We CANNOT accept any battery containing electronic device including but not limited to:

- NO Vape pens

- NO Shavers

- NO Flashlights

- NO Portable light fixtures

If the batteries are easily removed from the device, we will be happy to accept the batteries once they are removed. If the batteries are not easily removable from the device, we cannot accept them or the device containing them. Please do not leave these devices at CARA!

TEMPORARY CAP COLLECTION IS COMPLETED! 

GFWC - Charlotte, MI has reached their goal and will no longer need any more caps. Thank you so much to everyone that participated! We hope to be able to offer cap collection again in the future but until we have an outlet for them, we will no longer be accepting them at CARA. Thank you for understanding! 

Fundraiser Dinner for CARA on 8/22/24 at Applebee's!

 Save-the-Date! Thursday, August 22nd Applebee's will be hosting a fundraiser dinner for CARA! Just mention CARA when you dine in or carry out and 20% of your meal price will be donated to CARA!

NO YARD WASTE AT CARA

Did you know? CARA does NOT accept yard waste at our facility. City of Charlotte residents can take advantage of yard waste drop off at the DPW Garage at 301 Tirrell Hwy (for more information, please call 517-543-8858). Eaton County residents outside of City of Charlotte can contact Eaton County Resource Recovery to see if there is a yard waste program in your area (please call 517-543-3686). Thank you!
