#2 Pesticide/Herbicide Containers are Recyclable Only After TRIPLE Rinsing

We have been getting asked this a lot lately- Yes, we accept #2 pesticide/herbicide containers for recycling but only after they have been emptied and triple rinsed. Thank you for recycling! ♻

Egg Cartons! $1.00 Per Dozen!

 Did you know? CARA recycles egg cartons - but we also upcycle and sell them for $1 per dozen! *We can only accept the boxboard and styrofoam containers - sadly we cannot take the plastic ones.

Sometime between 12:30 PM Saturday 06/25/22 and 9:15 AM Monday 06/27/22 there were 20 to 30 pallets stolen from CARA.  These pallets are used for shipping our materials to our vendor and are an integral part of our operation.  As a reminder, the removal of any items from CARA without explicit permission is illegal. This theft has placed CARA in a  bind both logistically and financially.  If you have any information about the theft or their whereabouts, we ask that you please come forward.

Cooking Oil Recycling - No Motor Oil

Did you know? CARA has a cooking oil recycling container! Bring in your used (clean*) cooking oil anytime that we are open. Please no motor oil- For motor oil recycling, please check with your local auto parts stores.  

*Cooking oil cannot be accepted for recycling if it is mixed with water, food sauces, gravies, large amounts of food particles, plastic, paper, motor oil, fuels, chemicals, or detergents.
