Effective
immediately, 2016, the Charlotte Area Recycling Authority (CARA) is no longer able
to accept color glass any kind, due to a steep increase in cost to recycle the
material coupled with the growing deficit that CARA is facing.
CARA
is still accepting clear food grade glass but is recommending to please take
color glass to one of the other locations listed on the Eaton County Resource
Recovery’s website, until
we can find an economically feasible way to recycle the material.
